National Wear Red Day
Tomorrow you won't need glasses to see the world in hues of red and rose. Friday February 1 is National Wear Red Day, a day designed to raise awareness of heart disease in women.
Tomorrow will be a red-letter day for women across the country. The American Heart Association has declared Friday February 1 National Wear Red Day.
National Wear Red Day is designed to draw attention to heart disease in women—the number one killer of women older than 25 in the United States. The American Heart Association encourages women, companies, and organizations to wear red as well as make a donation that will help ongoing heart research and education of women.
To make a donation, visit the Go Red for Women Web site. You can shop Go Red merchandise or products from Go Red supporters. The sale proceeds go to the Go Red for Women movement. The site also offers healthy living suggestions and educational materials.
