Every day we will post information that will help you live better with a healthy heart.
Are there any costs for participating in the clinical research study?
Participation in this clinical research study is on a volunteer basis and does not involve any direct cost to you. Qualified study participants may receive study-related care and study medication at no cost.

How does this investigational medication work?
Angina (chest pain) is a clinical symptom of myocardial ischemia that is caused by insufficient blood flow and oxygen supply to the heart muscle. Generx is designed to stimulate angiogenesis, the heart's iological response to repeated episodes of myocardial ischemia. The resulting newly formed blood vessels provide alternate routes of blood flow and oxygen delivery to the patient's microcirculation and thus relieve myocardial ischemia.
How is this investigational medication administered?
The investigational medication is administered as a one-time intracoronary infusion during a coronary angiography procedure. The intracoronary infusion, which is performed routinely in catheterization laboratories by interventional cardiologists, uses a standard diagnostic cardiac catheter for the non-surgical delivery of the investigational medication directly into the heart’s extensive network of blood vessels.
Who can participate in the clinical research study?
Participation in this research study is entirely voluntary. In order to participate in the study, patients must meet the study eligibility criteria that are set by the study protocol reviewed by the FDA. Only a medical professional who is a member of the clinical research study staff can make the determination of your eligibility to participate.
This clinical research study is for an investigational medication that is not yet approved by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA). Clinical research testing, such as this study, is required to evaluate the safety and effectiveness of an investigational medication before it may be approved by the FDA for marketing.
